Ever feel stressed or have a headache after a long day at work?  Have you had trouble getting to sleep, unable to relax your mind and body?  At one time or another, we all feel tight, tense and stressed after days filled with far too many demands and much too little time. 

Until a person learns to become more in tune with their body and its responses, their body will still react with the same fight or flight responses of our ancestors that now only hurt us.  Repeatedly invoked, it is not hard to see how these automatic reactions can contribute to hypertension, strokes, heart attacks, diabetes, insomnia, or neck or low back pain.  Learning to focus inward, breathe properly and calm your mind and body can help change these reactions, and keep you relaxed and in balance.  Yoga teaches you how to do this.
