Reclined Spinal Twist

Benefits:

  • Stretches and massages back and hips

  • Strengthens abdominal muscles

  • Tones the waistline

 

Steps:

  • Lie on your back and bring your knees towards your chest

  • Extend your arms out to each side with your palms down

  • Inhale

  • Exhale, dropping your knees to the right (slowly and with control)

  • Inhale, bringing your knees back to center over your chest

  • Exhale, dropping your knees to the left (slowly and with control)

  • Repeat 8-10 times

  • To work your abdominal muscles more, do this twist with your feet raised parallel to your knees
